Online Lessons (Composition, Counterpoint, Harmony, Orchestration)
General:
The principal objective in private lessons is to provide each student with the capability of developing
his/her own individual musical language and voice in the musical world and in a logical term of time
be able to evaluate his/her own work.
The methods that are used are depended on the student previous studies, experience and needs.
So, along with the lessons, the tutor will also suggest listenings, books and analysis of specific works.
The Lessons :
An one hour lesson will take place every week via internet, a purely textual exchange via e-mail (or Skype)
in english or in greek.
Then the tutor will review student’s work and construct a subject and exercises for the next meeting.
The student will e-mail composition assignments to the tutor in the following formats :
PDF, MIDI or Sibelius files (early version).
Audio files are not compulsory but they would benefit the tutor to evaluate the works being worked on.
MIDI files are acceptable but MP3’s would be preferable.
Also, scores and recordings could be accompanied by programme notes and thoughts about the submitted works.
Tuition fees :
Tuition fees are in very reasonable prices and vary due to the level of each student and his/her needs.
They will be determined after the tutor receives sample scores and recordings and discuss with the student
his/her needs and expectations.
To a limited number of advanced students, with a very low payment, it could be offered a demo recording of his work
performed by professional musicians. This may apply easier to works composed as solos, duos or trios.
